WALLINGFORD, CT. (Nov. 24, 2020) – Masonicare announced today that it has been awarded three 2020 Mercury Awards by the Greater Connecticut Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA CT). Masonicare received the Bronze Award, Single Issue Publications; the Silver Award Social Media Campaigns; and the Gold Award for External Websites.
Masonicare’s winning entries included Bronze for its 125th Anniversary Magazine, which highlights the organization’s remarkable history – from its early beginnings to the present day where, amid a pandemic, leadership has worked courageously towards sustainability – the driving force has been and continues to be our Ageless Commitment to Caring. Garnering Silver, Masonicare at Home’s “The Masonicare Difference” social media campaign utilized social media channels to increase brand awareness and refine brand positioning to ensure consumers understood the unique benefits of Masonicare at Home. Finally, Gold was awarded to the Masonicare corporate website, which was a collaborative effort involving each of our service lines, taking almost two years from inception to launch and coinciding with the first rebrand of the organization in 125 years.
The 2020 Mercury Awards recognized outstanding creative and strategic excellence demonstrated in 2019-20 by a wide variety of agencies, companies, colleges, nonprofits, and organizations across the state following judging by 25 members of the North Carolina Chapter of PRSA.
“Masonicare has diligently worked to set a high standard for innovation and creativity for continued execution of public relations tactics and campaigns,” said Ann Collette, VP Strategy and Business Development. “This award is a testament to the recipients’ skill, ingenuity, and vision, despite a year filled with unforeseen and unprecedented challenges.”
PRSA CT advances the public relations profession and supports public relations professionals throughout the state of Connecticut. With nearly 100 members, the chapter encompasses a diverse group of entry-, mid-and senior-level professionals, representing advertising agencies, independent consultants, business and industry, government, hospitals, and health care organizations, professional associations, education, and nonprofit organizations.
Through PRSA CT’s website and social media channels, Masonicare received public recognition and digital tributes in lieu of an in-person award ceremony. This year’s virtual Mercury Awards celebration was generously sponsored by Sullivan & LeShane Public Relations, Inc. and Albertus Magnus College.
