Masonicare Welcomes Hartford HealthCare Physicians for Discussions on Brain Health

WALLINGFORD—On Thursday, June 1st, Masonicare welcomed four physicians from Hartford HealthCare’s Ayer Neuroscience Institute, who spoke to nearly to 200 residents and community members about brain health, including sleep, memory and movement disorders.

The Hartog Activities Center at Masonicare at Ashlar Village was filled to capacity with hundreds of people as the panel of physicians—moderated by Brian Spyros, Manager of Marketing & Communications for Hartford HealthCare—walked the audience through an evening of information, open discussion and brain games.

“This was an incredible opportunity to bring leading experts face-to-face with our residents and community members to discuss these critically important topics,” said Masonicare President & CEO, Jon-Paul Venoit.

The evening concluded with a Q & A session giving audience members the opportunity to speak directly with leading experts in their field.

“In November, we hosted our first collaborative panel discussion with experts from Hartford HealthCare entitled Taking Control of Cancer. The well-attended event prompted the development of a series of panel discussions that will be hosted at Masonicare throughout the year,” Mr. Venoit added. “We are working closely with Hartford HealthCare to educate our communities and are already planning our next event scheduled for this fall.”
