Email This Article(Trumbull, CT) — On Sunday, March 15, 2026, Pastor Tim Hare, Director of Mission Engagement & Community Outreach at Masonicare, along with a spirited team from Masonicare, will brave the cold for a meaningful cause. We will be participating in the Pastor Plunge, an annual event supporting My Friend Abby, a nonprofit that raises awareness for youth and young adult suicide prevention.
Held at Pinewood Lake in Trumbull, this fundraiser brings together community members willing to take a chilly leap of faith to raise money and awareness for My Friend Abby’s mission of providing friendship, compassion, and meaningful support to individuals and families facing life’s toughest challenges. Masonicare’s participation reflects our long-standing dedication to supporting local organizations that uplift and strengthen the community.
“The Pastor’s Plunge has turned into a festive event for the greater Trumbull area, bringing people from various settings together in a spirited effort to support mental health and build community,” says Hare.
In addition to the brave Masonicare staff members who will be plunging, Chef Hector from Masonicare at Crosby Commons will be on site preparing delicious food for participants, helping to warm spirits after the plunge.
Community members are encouraged to attend, cheer on the plungers, and support the cause.
