Outpatient GI Clinic
Private Gastroenterology Services Available
Do you need an Endoscopy or Colonoscopy? Ask your GI doctor to do your procedure at Masonicare Health Center's Outpatient Specialty GI Clinic.
Our clinic offers state of the art equipment, an experienced and friendly staff, and a one nurse to one patient nursing model which means you are carefully guided through the entire procedure to make it as stress-free and comfortable as possible.
What are GI scoping procedures?
GI procedures use tiny fiberoptic scopes in narrow, flexible tubes to examine parts of your digestive tract.
Whom We Help
We offer our services to anyone age 18 or older, with the majority of our patients being between the ages of 35 – 60. Your doctor may have recommended one of these tests as a routine preventive-care measure, or, for example, you are experiencing abdominal pain, severe heartburn, difficulty swallowing, an abnormal X-ray, or persistent nausea.
What to Expect
You will be greeted and signed in by our friendly and experienced office staff, then brought into our state-of-the-art GI suite and attended to by one of our highly trained nurses.
No matter which procedure you’re having, even if it takes just 15 minutes, you’ll be in the caring and compassionate hands of our staff and board-certified gastroenterologist. For our procedures we offer Propofol sedation given by a CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist), under the direct supervision of a board certified Anesthesiologist, onsite throughout your procedure. If the GI physician needs to take biopsies or test for bacteria, it is done through an endoscope. Following your procedure, the doctor will discuss next steps with you and your family.
Diagnostic and therapeutic procedures offered:
- Panendoscopy (fiberoptic exam of the esophagus, stomach, upper small intestine)
- Colonoscopy (fiberoptic exam of the large intestine)
- Endoscopy (fiberoptic exam of the esophagus and stomach)
