About Masonicare at Chester Village

A Senior Independent Living Community

Located in the lower Connecticut River Valley, Masonicare at Chester Village is set on 26 beautiful acres adjacent to a large state forest with ponds and walking trails. And, we're just minutes from the charming New England town of Chester which boasts fine restaurants, art galleries, and cultural activities. Perhaps one of Chester's famous residents, Morley Safer, described this beautiful area best when he stated, "Chester is where Walden Pond meets Broadway."

Our personal approach

Chester Village is an inclusive community where each person is known, cared for and encouraged to live life to the fullest. Our farm-to-table dining options, creatively prepared by our highly regarded executive chef, are an exception in retirement living.  With outdoor walking trails, an indoor swimming pool, beauty salon, exercise classes, pub, library, music room — as well as transportation and excursions to local and regional destinations — this is truly an  active community and a place where you can fully enjoy retirement.

The Masonicare Continuum

At Masonicare, we offer a full continuum of specialized healthy living services.  With more than a century of caring for Connecticut seniors, our array of services includes residential communities, healthcare, homecare and hospice. Founded by Connecticut Masons, our ageless commitment to caring is open to all.

Our mission to deliver person-centered care means you can receive the support you need in your home, where you can comfortably age in place. We have a full-time, on-campus Wellness Nurse who is available to coordinate your health care needs and arrange for any assisted living or home care services should they be needed. Chester Village also offers Medicare-certified physical, speech, and occupational therapy services. And, in the event a resident requires skilled nursing care or rehabilitation, they will be guaranteed access to the services at Masonicare Health Center.
