Assisted Living and Memory Care Community at Pond Ridge
The Argonauta at Pond Ridge
The Argonauta is a distinctive and beautiful seashell. Created for protection and safety, each one is different. The shape of the shell is like the character of each person; there may be similarities, but no two are alike. Masonicare's approach to memory care is to honor each individual as unique, to discover and celebrate them as a person. The Argonauta symbolizes our commitment to provide an environment of dignity, kindness and safety.
Our Argonauta program is designed especially for Assisted Living residents needing memory care. Our vision for memory care is the highest quality of care possible to achieve resident self-actualization. We focus on these key tenets:
- Growth and engagement – Purposeful activities designed for enjoyment, custom-tailored to highlight individual characteristics, bringing the past into the present. Our specially trained staff pause to affirm and validate each individual. We also create partnerships with families who are invited to join in.
- Holistic and comprehensive wellness – Nutritious meals with specially modified menus to promote dignity and well-being when dining; on-site physicians and clinicians; individualized care plans, including fall prevention and spiritual services.
- Relationship-centered care – A team-based philosophy of support and high standards so that every interaction seeks positive emotional memory.
- Neighborhood environment – A belief that resident space should provide comfort, safety, engaging common areas, state-of-the-art security and beauty (utilizing, for example, natural light.)
"Lovely shell, lovely image – I am tempted to play with it in my mind. Is this the symbol for another stage in relationships? Can we middle-aged Argonauts when we outgrow the oyster bed, look forward to the freedom of the nautilus (Argonauta) who has left its shell for the open seas?"
