Lunch & Learn: Cooking Healthy for One | Healthcare to Homecare to Senior Living

Are you settling for frozen dinners or leftovers, and lack inspiration or creativity when cooking for just yourself? If so, you won’t want to miss Masonicare’s upcoming Lunch & Learn “Cooking Healthy for One (or Two)! on March 23 at the Cheshire Senior Center, 240 Maple Avenue, Cheshire.

Featured presenter for this educational program is Kailee Conrad, a Registered Dietician for ShopRite stores in Wallingford and Southington. Kailee will be presenting cooking and shopping strategies to eat right and offering delicious recipes to help get started. Attendees will learn that, with a little planning, it is easy to enjoy delicious and nutritious meals whether dining alone or with a companion.

Ms. Conrad earned her B.S. in Dietetics from Central Michigan University, and is a licensed Registered Dietician. Her “Live Right with ShopRite” program includes free nutrition services for shoppers and the community such as nutrition counseling, supermarket tours, healthy living demos and tastings, and in-store health screenings.

The free program will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a presentation and time for questions, followed by a complimentary lunch. Reservations are required, so please call the Cheshire Senior Center at 203-272-8286 by Friday, March 13, to reserve your space.
