Wallingford, CT, (December 22, 2016)...The Twenty-Eighth Annual Festival of Trees at Masonicare Health Center was a wonderful success this year. The very popular event featured a silent auction of 50 unique, beautifully decorated tabletop trees which are designed and trimmed by teams of Masonicare employees, volunteers, and residents. This year's trees had a wide variety of themes, from the Abominable Snowman to American Girl dolls to Boyd's Teddy Bears, the latter of which garnered the highest bid.
Bidding on the trees ended on Monday, December 19. The auction raised nearly $6,000 for the Masonic Charity Foundation's Holiday Appeal, which goes directly to the residents of Masonicare Health Center, as well as Masonicare at Newtown, in the form of holiday gifts and funds to assist them with holiday celebrations and decorations.
