Hartford, CT (October 27, 2016)...Masonicare Partners Home Health & Hospice and Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center are co-sponsoring an informative event entitled "Walking the Journey with You." The event, which is open to healthcare professionals and the community, will be held on Thursday, November 3, from 10 am to 3:30 pm in the St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center Rotunda, 114 Woodland Street in Hartford. The event is being held during National Hospice and Palliative Care Month to highlight and celebrate the important services and compassionate care hospice provides to patients and their families.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and talk with hospice nurses, social workers, spiritual care and bereavement clinicians and hospice volunteers, as well as enjoy live music, and meet some of the hospice therapy pets. A representative from the Veterans Administration will be on hand to provide information and potentially sign up veterans for their services. The event will also feature complimentary hand massages, information tables, and raffle prizes
In addition, three free educational seminars are offered in the adjacent Chawla Auditorium.
