Masonicare Home Health & Hospice recently honored their hospice volunteers for the care and dedication they bring to patients and the hospice team. The event was held at Masonicare at Newtown.
Wendy Grasso of Newtown received the highly regarded Dedicated to Outstanding Volunteer Excellence (D.O.V.E.) award. The office gives the D.O.V.E. award yearly to one volunteer who exhibits exceptional dedication to the program and exemplifies the true spirit of hospice care.
Hospice Volunteer Coordinator Sue Laughlin presented Wendy with the award noting, "Wendy exhibits a natural gift for connecting with her hospice patients. She is kind, compassionate, caring and creative. Wendy manages to balance being a working mom with her weekly hospice visits and her commitment to her patients and the program. She is a gift to us all."
