Wallingford, CT, May 22, 2012… William C. Phinney, RN, a Hospice Supervisor of Clinical Services for Masonicare Home Health & Hospice (Eastern Hospice), was recently awarded a Nightingale Award for Excellence in Nursing at a statewide awards program held on Thursday, May 10, at the Mystic Marriott Hotel and Spa in Groton. Mr. Phinney was one of 12 nurses nominated by Masonicare, Connecticut’s leading not-for-profit provider of senior healthcare and retirement living. He has been with Masonicare since 2007.
The Nightingale Awards program recognizes nurses throughout Connecticut for their dedication, commitment and generous contributions to the field of nursing. The program is open and inclusive of all healthcare settings — hospitals, home health care, health centers, schools, health departments, long-term care, nursing schools, agencies and medical practices. This year, at the twelfth annual Nightingale Awards presentations, nurses from throughout Connecticut were honored at four concurrent award dinners held in Groton,Hartford,StamfordandWallingford.
Mr. Phinney, a resident of Quaker Hill, is a graduate of Three Rivers Community College.
