A healthy haven for qualified candidates. The Wright Residence is a licensed Residential Care Home on the campus of the Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford that offers wonderful apartment living to seniors 55 and over with limited income. Seniors receiving the State Supplemental Cash Assistance Program are welcome.
This setting is ideal for people who don’t need 24-hour “hands-on” personal care, but may have health conditions that make it difficult for them to live alone. Here, you’ll find all the security and camaraderie that community living has to offer, without the responsibilities of home maintenance, food shopping, meal preparation, housework, or laundry.
You’ll be back in the swing of things. When seniors move to the Wright Residence, possibilities for a fulfilling life truly open up. Planned activities and events bring residents together for socializing and fun. Walking areas and lovely gardens beckon. School children, church members, community groups and pets are frequent visitors. There are also various volunteer opportunities in a variety of settings and departments throughout our Wallingford campus.
Welcome to life at Wright. We’ll do your vacuuming and dusting, and make your bed. We’ll take care of the shopping, cooking, and cleanup. We even provide you with sheets and towels. And, if you’re sick, we’ll bring your meals right to your apartment. Need a hand with other chores? Call on one of our full-time, friendly maintenance workers to change a light bulb, move a chair, or fix a dripping faucet.
That will leave you with plenty of time to spend as you please. Visit our homey lounges where you can read, socialize, or take part in an event. Cook for yourself or friends and family in our fully applianced country kitchen. Or, get involved in any number of activities, with visiting Girl Scouts, children from our on-campus day-care center, a Bible study group, wellness program, or exercise program.
Our on-campus indoor convenience store, gift shop, library, and beauty shop are within easy walking distance and once a week, a bus will take you to local stores.
A continuum of healthcare right nearby. Even healthy independent seniors appreciate the convenience of medical resources right in the neighborhood. As a resident of Wright Residence, you’ll have access to emergency care, specialty care, rehabilitation care and transportation to your medical appointments. Plus you’ll also have the reassurance of priority admission to Masonicare Health Center.
24-hour Emergency Response — If you need immediate medical attention, all you have to do is pull your in-room emergency pull-cord and help is just moments away.
Specialty Clinics — Make an appointment and have your hearing, eyesight, balance, or vital signs checked at one of our specialty clinics. Many types of specialists hold regular office hours at the Masonicare Health Center, and most residents are eligible for their care. Or, visit our Holistic Wellness Center at the Masonicare Health Center.
Rehabilitation Care — Residents requiring physical, speech, or occupational therapy can receive in- or out-patient rehabilitation services from Masonicare specialists. Get the extra care you need without ever leaving campus, and then return to your apartment when you’re ready.
Priority admission — Here’s the most reassuring part. As a resident of the Wright Residence, you’ll have access to Masonicare’s interconnected continuum of senior healthcare. You’ll qualify for support and priority admission, as needed, for acute care or long-term skilled nursing care at the Masonicare Health Center.
Transportation — When you visit physicians who are part of the Masonicare continuum, transportation is provided by Masonicare shuttle bus, or by state livery (for Medicaid beneficiaries). If you wish to visit other providers, you’ll need to provide your own transportation.
