“The Nuts and Bolts of Dementia” Topic of Masonicare’s Lunch & Learn on March 20

On Thursday, March 20, at Masonicare at Newtown, Dr. Yvette Fernandez will present a Lunch & Learn program entitled “The Nuts and Bolts of Dementia.” 

Dr. Fernandez is Medical Director for Masonicare at Newtown, Masonicare’s long-term care, assisted living and dementia care and rehabilitation center in Newtown. 

In this presentation, Dr. Fernandez will provide an overview of the different types of dementia, the predisposing risk and genetic factors.  She will also discuss the disease process and progression, including behavioral aspects and treatments. 

            The free program will begin at 11:30 a.m. and will be followed by a complimentary lunch.  Reservations are required, so please call the Masonicare HelpLine at 888-679-9997 by Tuesday, March 18, to reserve your space.

            The presentation will be held at Masonicare at Newtown, 139 Toddy Hill Road, Newtown.
