Masonicare at Newtown’s FREE Summer Sounds Concerts Begin June 13

Newtown, CT, May 30, 2012………. For the 26th consecutive year, Masonicare at Newtown will sponsor FREE Summer Sounds concerts on its beautiful grounds at 139 Toddy Hill Road in Newtown.  

Area residents are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy a variety of wonderful musical performances given by many of the area’s most popular  bands.  All concerts will be held on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m.  In case of inclement weather, rain dates are listed below.

 June 13         Berkshire Big Band (Music of the 30’s, 40’s and 50s)

 July 11           42 Street Band (Rock, Blues, Jazz)

 July 25          Big Beat Band (Music of the 50’s and 60’s)
                             Rain Date – Thursday, July 26

 August 8       The Frank Porto Band (Music of the 30’s and 40’s)
                              Rain Date – Thursday, August 9

 August 22     St. Luke’s Steel Band (Calypso, Island Music)
                              Rain Date – Thursday, August 23
