Newtown, CT, July 3, 2012….. Peggy Loulis of Monroe, receptionist and customer service representative for Masonicare at Newtown’s assisted living community, Lockwood Lodge, received an Honorable Mention at the Connecticut Assisted Living Association’s (CALA) annual Service Awards Luncheon on June 22. Ms. Loulis was nominated by Masonicare at Newtown in recognition of her many years of dedication and commitment to Masonicare’s residents and families and for going above and beyond every day to help keep Lockwood Lodge running smoothly. Ms. Loulis has been with Masonicare at Newtown for more than 20 years.
According to Laura Santoro, RN, supervisor of assisted living services for Masonicare at Newtown, Ms. Loulis is well known as the community’s ‘resource for everything.’ “And there’s nothing Peggy won’t do for a resident,” said Ms. Santoro. “She pitches in whenever and wherever needed, giving tours, filling in for recreation, handling billing, arranging transportation, and designing brochures and flyers.”
According to Ms. Santoro, Peggy has been known to take time out of her busy day to help a resident who might be upset or confused. “Sharing a cup of coffee and offering emotional support to someone is so important – and she’s always there to listen. The residents are a top priority with Peggy – and they truly appreciate her warmth and sincerity.”
Peter Francis, Director of Assisted Living, shares in Laura’s praise of Peggy and her service to Masonicare. “Peggy is a very important part of our community here inNewtown, and we’re all so pleased she was honored by CALA. The recognition is very well deserved.”
