Meetings to be held at Masonicare at Ashlar Village in Wallingford
Masonicare Home Health & Hospice cordially invites men from the community who are grieving the loss of a spouse to become part of a Widowers’ Support Group, specially designed to help them share and process their grief with other grieving men in a safe and supportive environment. The group will explore some of the gender-specific reactions men may experience as they transition through their grief journey. The sessions will be facilitated by Dennis Farrar, MSW, a hospice social worker with Masonicare.
The Support Group will meet on Friday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Masonicare at Ashlar Village, Cheshire Road in Wallingford, on the following dates: June 13 and June 27, July 11 and 25, August 1 and 29, September 12 and 26. All eight sessions will be held in the game room on the lower level of the Hartog Activities Center at Ashlar Village (Bridgehouse Lobby entrance).
There is no charge to participate in the group, but pre-registration is required by Friday, June 6. Attendance is recommended for all eight sessions, if possible. For additional information or to register, please call 203-679-5395.
