Newtown, CT, February 29, 2012…..Laura M. Santoro, RN, MS, CNS, has joined the staff at Masonicare at Newtown as Supervisor of Assisted Living Services Agency (SALSA).
In her role as SALSA at Lockwood Lodge Assisted Living, she is responsible for the management and coordination of nursing and wellness services for residents and the supervision of the resident care assistant and nursing staffs. Ms. Santoro has more than 10 years of managerial experience in the healthcare field. Prior to joining Masonicare, she was a manager with Ability Beyond Disability in Bethel. She was also a nurse manager at Danbury Hospital and in the intensive care unit at Sound Shore Medical Center (formerly New Rochelle Hospital) in Westchester, NY.
Ms. Santoro received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from William Paterson College, and is also a graduate of the College of New Rochelle with an MS – Holistic Nurse Specialist. She is a Eucharistic Minister and religion teacher in the EDGE Program at St. Francis Xavier Parish in New Milford. Ms. Santoro, her husband John and their son, John, Jr., are residents of New Milford.
