West Hartford, CT, September 25, 2012……….. Masonicare Partners Home Health & Hospice cordially invites the community to attend a free presentation entitled “The Importance of Compassionate Care When Making Critical Health Care Decisions.” The program will be held on Tuesday, October 16, at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Center of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church,436 Quaker Lane, West Hartford.
Donna Dow, RN, MS, Hospice Clinical Director for Masonicare Partners, will discuss the importance of compassionate care when individuals and families are dealing with end-of-life issues and how that care can impact patients and families. She’ll provide information on various health care options available during this emotional time and will take questions from the audience to help clarify concerns many people have about hospice care. She’ll explain that hospice is not a place, but a philosophy of care that uses a holistic approach that encompasses mind, body and spirit, giving patients and families the chance to enjoy every moment that remains.
