Wallingford, CT, ……………When a loved one moves to a Long-Term Care facility, it can be an emotional journey for family members, as well. Whether the move was the result of a sudden illness or a drastic change in circumstance, such a major change in the life of a loved one resonates throughout a family. Coping with conflicting feelings of guilt and relief are common struggles, as well as knowing how to respond to difficult questions or making the most of visits to their loved one’s new home.
Beginning Tuesday, March 18, Fran Goldberg-Cohen, LCSW, a social worker with Masonicare Home Health & Hospice, and Audrey Grove, Masonicare Community Services Representative, will facilitate a “Family Support Group” at the Masonicare Health Center, 22 Masonic Avenue, Wallingford. The group will meet from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., 1st floor Board Room, on the third Tuesday of each month.
