Elder Law Attorney to Discuss Paying for Residential Care Home Communities at Masonicare Open House Saturday, Oct. 27

October 2, 2012

Wallingford, CT, October 10, 2012….Masonicare cordially invites residents of Wallingford and surrounding communities to attend a free Open House at the Leslie G. Wright Residence, a residential care home on the Masonicare Health Center campus, 22 Masonic Avenue, Wallingford.  The important topic to be discussed is “Residential Care Accepts Government Funds – Am I Qualified?”  The Open House will be held on Saturday, October 27, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Activity Room at the Wright Residence.  Complimentary refreshments will be provided.

Attorney Susan Baltimore Nobleman, an elder law attorney with Gesmonde, Pietrosimone & Sgrignari, LLC, will discuss the unique aspects of a residential care community as licensed by the State of Connecticut.  Guests will also learn how they or a loved one may be qualified to become a resident and how to apply if currently or soon to be without assets.  The Wright Residence is the perfect senior housing option for independent seniors who can still care for themselves but are no longer interested or are unable to maintain a home. It offers the security and camaraderie of community living without the responsibilities of home maintenance, food shopping, meal preparation, housework or laundry for adults 55 and over, including those who may be qualified for Medicaid (Title 19). Tours of the Wright Residence will be offered to anyone interested.

Reservations are requested, so if you would like to attend this informative program, or would like additional information, please call the Masonicare HelpLine at 1-888-679-9997.
