What is a Continuing Care Retirement Community?
Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) are residential communities that allow seniors to “age-in place” and provide a continuum of care – from independent living to assisted living and skilled nursing, all in one location. CCRCs offer seniors a fulfilling and active lifestyle, coupled with the assurance and peace of mind that extra assistance and health care will be provided as needed.
What is independent living?
Independent living has been designed to support active, comfortable lifestyles for today’s seniors. It provides necessary services that free you from heavy housekeeping, food preparation, yard work and home maintenance. Yet offers many social, cultural and recreational activities for your enjoyment and pleasure.
What is assisted living?
Assisted living is a special combination of residential housing, personalized supportive services and healthcare designed to meet the needs of residents who need help with the activities of daily living, but do not need nursing care. Friendly, trained staff members are available 24-hours a day to help with meals, dressing, personal hygiene and medications.
What is the minimum age for residency?
The minimum age for residency is 55.
How do I know if Masonicare at Ashlar Vilage is right for me?
Choosing a retirement community is a big decision requiring careful thought and investigation. We welcome you to visit Masonicare at Ashlar Village often, speak with residents, and view our accommodations. Come for an introductory seminar, personal tour and a complimentary lunch or dinner.
I am interested in Masonicare at Ashlar Village but I’m not ready to give up my home. When is the right time to move?
We strongly recommend getting on the Waiting List – so that when and if your needs change your plans are already in place. Many of our residents say they are so content with life at Masonicare at Ashlar Village that they wish they made the move sooner!
Is the entrance fee refundable?
We offer two refund options: a standard 8-year declining refund or a guaranteed refund. Our marketing department would be happy to review this with you in greater detail.
Do the fees increase?
Over the last 14 years our fees have increased a moderate 3% to 3.5%. As a not-for-profit, we work hard to keep these increases to a minimum, while maintaining the quality and excellence that our residents have come to expect.
Are pets allowed?
Yes. We welcome cats, birds and fish in all accommodations. Dogs are welcome in cottages and villas. A limit of two pets per resident and a $1,000 non-refundable fee is required.
What is your smoking policy?
All areas of Masonicare at Ashlar Village are smoke free. Smokers are allowed to smoke only in designated areas.
Do I have to be a Mason to live at Masonicare at Ashlar Village?
No. We are open to all individuals with or without Masonic affiliation.
