This marks the 13th Anniversary of the Nightingale Awards for Excellence in Nursing. The program recognizes nurses who have made a significant impact on patient care, demonstrated clinical excellence, shown commitment to their community or achieved outstanding life achievement. In order to be selected for a Nightingale Award, an RN or LPN must demonstrate excellence and be involved in day-to-day clinical practice, leadership, scholarship or education. The award program was founded in Connecticut in 2001 and Masonicare was one of the original organizers.
This year Masonicare was pleased to have 11 nurses from throughout our continuum receive this prestigious award. Congratulations to Lisa Davanzo, Maria Fabrizi, Stacey Finch, Linda Hill, Mary E. Keating, Rosmarie Kuhn, Susan A. Moore, Katherine Nadeau, Lorraine Roy-Galat, Deborah Tedford, and Jolanta M.Vitale.
